Biography

I am a 39 year attorney who has represented many people in employment litigation, including whistle-blower cases, sexual harassment cases and discrimination cases. Along the way, I have learned a great deal about what happens in the work place and the industries and setting in which it occurs.
I have a passion for writing characters and situations that might well happen to everyday people and about human frailties and the temptations life presents. How a character can find his or her self over their heads before they see it coming. I often create characters who deal with events beyond their control and who sometimes find the strength to do what they never imagined they could--and sometimes they come out alright. I develop suspenseful plots, with unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader wondering how it will end. Those plots must be driven by well-defined characters that you can identify with—not always likeable characters, but believable characters, with all the gray areas that human beings are equipped.

“Sealing Fate” is about new Congressman, Brian Madsen, who has a wonderful career and a beautiful wife. He has had a wonderful life—until now. His world his turned upside down by an affair that begins at his inaugural celebration, and leads to blackmail and murder.

“Altering Destiny” follows Lynn Kelly, a young woman trying to make it in the business world, who, on impulse, steals almost a million dollars and finds herself pursued by police and more nefarious characters, all of whom want the money and none of whom want the release of something she doesn’t know she has taken with the money.

“The Whistleblower Onslaught” is my tribute to the courage of whistleblowers, many of whom I have represented over the years. Attorney Scott Winslow brings a whistleblower case on behalf of a long term energy executive alleged he was terminated for complaining that the company was failing to comply with mine safety requirements and endangered employees, leading to a mine explosion. It is a look at the legal process as the case proceeds, including depositions and court arguments. It follows the investigator who finds ways to get to critical information, whether he is entitled to do so or not. And there is someone else—someone who, for his own reasons, will do whatever it takes to stop the matter from proceeding to trial, even if it means going after the families of the whistleblower and his attorney.

“Imploded Lives” is the story of regular people who will be in the wrong place and the wrong time and will soon become hostages in one of the most amazing bank robberies of all time. The money and the perpetrators, surrounded by three police agencies, manage to disappear and the hostages are left with the ripple effects of the hostage taking that will change their worlds in amazing ways. A pair of LAPD Detectives will be assigned the case and they will chase answers to unexpected places and they will not give up—no matter what.”
