IN THE AUTHOR’S WORDS

Author interview

Interview submitted 7 April 2024.

What inspired you to start writing?

I've always had a love of writing. Being an introvert and extremely shy, writing has always been an outlet for me.

Who are some of your favorite authors and books?

1984 by George Orwell
No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy
The Gray Man by Mark Greaney
Dead Eye by Mark Greaney
Hellbent by Gregg Hurwitz
Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert
The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch
Bullet Train by Kotaro Isaka
Transfer of Power by Vince Flynn
Without Remorse by Tom Clancy

What would you like to tell readers who have just discovered your books, but haven't read one yet?

That they are in for an action-packed thrill ride! Not only do I love thriller novels, but I love action films as well. You'll get a rich, cinematic experience.

Who is the favorite character you created, and how did they come into being?

Foxy Valdez is my favorite character that I've created so far. She came into being from me wanting to try something different and I leaned on my dad's Mexican heritage to create her.

What are your future plans as a writer?

I have at least three novels in mind for my Foxy Valdez series of thrillers. I've also been leaning heavily into Sci-Fi and Postapocalyptic in my reading and have plenty of ideas for those genres as well!
