Christopher D. Pearce

Author biography

Christopher David Pearce grew up in North Devon where he spent his childhood playing in the countryside, establishing a love of nature and folklore. Growing up as a gay man in a rural area contributed to his love of literature, particularly speculative genres which gave him a sense of escapism and, in some ways, community.

Today, he lives in Melbourne, Australia, where he is an educator for children with additional needs, a role he loves deeply and considers his calling.

Since he could read and hold a pen, Pearce has been writing stories, his main focus being horror, gothic literature, and fantasy. When not working or writing, he narrates audiobooks for indie authors, cars for dogs, and reads as often as he is able.
