Biography
Some writers retreat to quiet cabins in the woods at writers' colonies for a few weeks where the creative juices can flow without distractions. I'm lucky enough to live in a Colorado Rocky Mountain community. My mobile home is no log cabin, but it will do. So when the juices refuse to flow in a winter of my mind, I've no one to blame but myself. Or maybe my series protagonist, Jules.
As a transplanted Brooklynite, I'm afraid I've brought attitude and New York brashness to the laid-back town of Pagosa Springs. I try hard to keep a firm grip on the old ways. I smile a lot and I talk in subdued tones because I love the friendly people, the creamy cumuli clouds that drift like ice-cream ships across a sapphire sky, the soaring Ponderosa Pines that crowd each other as they reach for the sky, with Mountain Jays flitting between branches and singing their psalms to Nature. The magic works on my mind and I conjure with tapestries of words that build bridges between my offerings and the readers, who capture the dreams and make them their own.
I'm currently working on a science fiction action adventure series called Star Sojourner. Nine books have been published, but they are also stand alones.
If Love is the oil that turns the wheels of our universe, I hope my readers feel the love that's imbued in the stories.
Blessed Be, as my dear Wiccan friend, Ch 'Kara Silverwolf says.
