Jessica J. Walker

My name is Jessica Walker. I was born in Eugene, Oregon. I currently live in Springfield, Oregon. I have loved writing since I was a small child.

I graduated high school in 2006. I was born on August 2nd of 1988. I have an older brother and a younger sister. I have written many short stories and some not so short. My biggest obsession is writing.

I love animals and music. I like country the most but I also like some oldies, an rock. I am also a very spiritual person.

What inspired you to start writing?

My desire to tell stories is what has inspired me to start writing and my dream of becoming an author.

Who are some of your favorite authors and books?

Some of my favorite authors and books are J. R. R. Tolkien, Stephanie Meyers-Twilight Series, Anne Rice-Vampire Chronicles.

What would you like to tell readers who have just discovered your books, but haven't read one yet?

I hope to inspire people to start following their dreams. It is never too late to start. I also hope that my stories inspire people to be kind and learn to tolerate others for their differences.

Who is the favorite character you created, and how did they come into being?

Within the Series Living Among Us, I have two favorite characters, little Lukah because he loves to make friends with everyone and yet he is brave and will tell people how he feels even when he doesn't yet understand the situation and he is the character that will evolve throughout the entire story. My second favorite is Ashkari because he is very sweet and wise. He also won't back down when it comes to defending the innocent. He loves without end which also causes him to be very protective of those that he loves, like his children and grandchildren.

What are your future plans as a writer?

My plan for the future of my writing is to show people of the future what kind of issues people face at these times. Like racism.
