Kirro Burrows

Author biography

From the moment their mother started reading to them, Kirro Burrows was obsessed with diving into and getting lost in fantastical worlds. Eager to learn and continue exploring, Kirro was an eager traveler when family offered to take them abroad, and was lucky enough to start seeing the world at a young age. At the age of nine, Kirro learned they could create those worlds themselves, wrote their first novel based on a dream, and they haven’t stopped writing since. Their style includes long novels, short stories, poems and epics as well as writing scripts for webcomics and video games.

As Kirro got older and began to discover themselves and who they were, they realized there was a glaring hole in what they enjoyed reading and writing; Romance was just too campy for them. Determined to bring their love of worldbuilding to a genre they wanted to enjoy reading, Kirro rolled up their sleeves and started writing their Power of Blood series, starting with the Tainted Blood Trilogy. Originally based on a poem that Kirro had written in high school, the story soon found its own legs and just like their daughter, hasn’t stopped running.

As a parent, a creative, and a believer that fanart and fanfics is the purest form of adoration, Kirro always seeks to introduce readers to worlds to get lost in, characters for travelers to love (or hate) amd above all, create an experience that leaves you both fulfilled and longing for more. They hope that you’ll enjoy the twisting narrative they have prepared for you in their Power of Blood series as they serve you this first course in Catch A Raven.
