IN THE AUTHOR’S WORDS

Author interview

Interview submitted .

What inspired you to start writing?

My fifth-grade teacher admired my work, inspired me to continue my creative pursuits, and I've been putting pen to paper ever since. Plus, my love for reading has been a bonus.

Who are some of your favorite authors and books?

Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook...any of Jackie Collins novels...To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee...The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald

What would you like to tell readers who have just discovered your books, but haven't read one yet?

I tend to incorporate nostalgia in all of my writing so if readers enjoy that aspect of a story, then you'll enjoy my works. BEYOND GINGHAM takes a look at what was happening in 1965.

Who is the favorite character you created, and how did they come into being?

I worked on a contemporary romance for many years before publishing it, but the main character was Misty Briscoe. She endured many challenges before she reached fulfillment. The book is LEATHER HORIZONS.

What are your future plans as a writer?

Because being an authoress is a career, I'm in the business for the long haul. I'll continue in other genres of women's fiction and contemporary romance. And perhaps another short story collection.
