What inspired you to start writing?

I have produced all types of writing throughout my careers in education and law and have been writing poetry since my childhood. With my writing experience and love for history and archaeology, I made the decision to go a step further in the process and bring interesting stories and life's experiences to the page through fiction, challenging readers to think, focus on details, identify with feelings and events, and enjoy the full sensory experiences.

Who are some of your favorite authors and books?

Ann Rice -- her total vampire series

P.D. James -- her Adam Dalgliesh Mystery Series

Sandra Brown -- Fat Tuesday; Tallspin; Blood Moon

Elizabeth Peters -- The Last Camel Died at Noon

Alfred Andersch -- Sansibar oder der letzte Grund; Winterspelt

Thomas Mann -- Der Zauberberg

Clive Cussler -- Sahara

What would you like to tell readers who have just discovered your books, but haven't read one yet?

If you are seeking an intelligent read that blends mystery, adventure, history and a touch of romance set amid beautiful scenery and archaeological secrets, my Dr. Marcos Andersson Series if for you.

Who is the favorite character you created, and how did they come into being?

My favorite character is archaeologist extraordinaire, Dr. Marcos Andersson, who is the main character in my series. Marcos' character is based on a real-life archaeologist friend of mine who has inspired me with his tales from the field.

What are your future plans as a writer?

My current plans include writing additional books in the Dr. Marcos Andersson Series as well as another poetry collection at present. Future plans include two other novels in genres different from the series.
