Maliny Moon
Author biography
For as long as I can remember, I viewed everything around me as a miracle. But even what I accepted as a miracle wasn't enough.
I craved for more. Contemplating blooming trees, or braiding flower wreaths, I wondered why flowers do not grow in my hair. Picking wild strawberries in the forest, I asked my mum why do they not grow on my plate, which was also green-coloured? Clouds formations looked like a movie and I watched myself dancing and laughing among them. I tended to dream in colours and always recalled them.
Nobody was surprised when H.G. Wells appeared in my life at very young age and became my favourite author. "The invisible man' converted into the main character of my own ‘ The James Bond series.' My endless stories were sleeping pills for my tired after work parents.
As I grew up reality grabbed me and hugged tight. Everything from school, university, work in a bank, my own family, running businesses, living in different European countries, travelling and meeting new people, all brought unique colours on my canvas of life. But the canvas is unlimited – one which you can always lay on a new brush stroke.
Wherever I go, I take my wild imagination with me. So finally I decided that’ tonight is the night’ and transformed my passion for mystery through writing, which is something that has always been saved in my mind.
But, as a beginner, I felt I needed guidance, and I found that through my co-writer. Working closely with Stuart Yates has been exiting, challenging but, above all else, an immensely fulfilling creative journey. My first book, 'The Magic Painting' is a passionate story, laced with genuine, 'real-life' experiences and proves what can be achieved through a lot of inspiration and hard work!
