What inspired you to start writing?

An avid reader, I have always liked the lure of story telling.

Who are some of your favorite authors and books?

The Dark Tower - Stephen King
The Girl Who Drank the Moon - Kelly Barnhill
Lord of the Rings - J.R.R. Tolkien
Cloud Cuckoo Land - Anthony Doerr

What would you like to tell readers who have just discovered your books, but haven't read one yet?

Get read for a fun read. My stories will not lose you in detail or story line. They are meant for a fun reading excursion into imagination. Immerse yourself in my world.

Who is the favorite character you created, and how did they come into being?

My favorite character from Mikie's Key is the police chief Adam Bryer. At first intended as just a minor supporting character, he quickly gained more focus and then became the leading character in the second book of the series.

What are your future plans as a writer?

I see myself continuing to write at least two more novels in this series. After that, I'm sure I will have other ideas that grab my attention. (The writing bug seems to have taken hold.)
