R.R. Brooks
Author biography
Robert R. Brooks, a native of New Jersey, writes fantasy, mystery, and science fiction novels and short stories as R.R. Brooks. His science background includes a career in pharmaceutical research and development. He has been creating fiction since college and has training from several schools, including The Great Smokies Writing Program of the University of North Carolina.
His publications include over a dozen short stories and three novels. His epic fantasy novel Justi the Gifted was published by Leo Publishing in 2015, the mystery (co-authored with A.C. Brooks) The Clown Forest Murders by Black Opal Books in 2018, and the fantasy The Gifted Spawn by Escarpment Press in 2021. Bob is a member of the Blue Ridge Writers Group, the Appalachian Round Table, and NC Writers Network. He has served as a judge for the Brevard Little Theater Annual Play Competition and is now a reader for the Eric M. Hoffer Award for self-published and small press books.
