Beautiful & Battered

In Beautiful & Battered, Orkidedatter explores pain and recovery through poetry shaped by the landscapes of Norway. Winter, the Polar star, butterflies, the midnight sun, and the Northern Lights become images through which a wounded inner life can be expressed.

Memories of hurt sit beside the possibility of rebuilding. The collection moves between darkness and beauty, using the natural world to give form to feelings that can be difficult to name.

Subtitled Breaking Through The Chains, this is a collection for readers drawn to poetry about grief, resilience, and the work of finding a way forward.
