THE STORY

About the book

When a game is still talked about sixty years after its completion, you know something was uniquely special about that contest.

In 1939, on a baseball field built atop Mount Rushmore, the Roscoe Rangers, a Minnesota Town Ball Championship team, takes on the Mount Rushmore Drillers, the men who built the great American monument. Years later, the death of one of the 1939 Roscoe Rangers brings together descendants of the game.

While the details of this great game have been lost to history, best friends and sports aficionados - through a mystical happenstance - travel back in time and experience the actual game, and much of what surrounds it while caught between worlds.
