The Devil's Blacklist
Book excerpt
The Ballerina in the Snow Globe
She dances like a ballerina in a snow globe
Dandelions are adding
lyrics to the sound of Mozart
The splashes of watercolors were hanging above her elegance
She glides for forgiveness
and sways for sobriety
The tinsel around her fury spirit is no longer sparkling
She is twirling and spinning for a numb audience
The atmosphere is toxic
The ambiance in the snow globe is desolate
At the end of the ballet only one rose was thrown
in front of her feet
God threw it with all his might
Her tears fell to the floor like a tidal wave
She only needed to dance for herself
Scraping Arrogance
Slapping the vanity
Presumptuous to the brim
Scalding hot from the smugness
Overbearing and trite
Turning the nail to the left
like a screw in a headboard
Watching the confidence
disappear into consequences
Fabrications built like kingdoms
Casting out disdain and remarks
Scraping the bottom layer
Pounding the nerves of arrogance
Seeking hollow praise
Self-worshipping a glass chin
Bound to shatter soon
