Little Tales
Whimsy, Wonder, and the In-Between Years
Little Tales by Kathryn Rossati is a charming collection of poetry that blends the everyday with the enchanted. Perfect for younger readers and the young at heart, these poems gently explore the middle space between childhood and the teenage years—where magic still lingers and reality begins to sharpen.
With a tone that feels like a bedtime story, Little Tales captures the warmth of family, the quirks of school life, and the flickers of folklore. Some poems bring a smile with their silliness, while others reflect the quiet truths of growing up. Through it all runs a thread of lightness and imagination, offering a comforting escape from busy minds and long days.

Excerpt from the book
The Noise
It rumbles through bones, teeth, and jaws,
down to the ground, past all six floors.
Shaking the doors, cracking the windows,
disturbing old dears engaged in their bingo.
They try and try to stop The Noise,
offering food, books, and new toys,
but the little swaddled ball that resides at its core
simply widens its mouth and screeches some more.
Creativity
There’s a festival in my head
that needs to be set free.
It’s made up of colours,
words, images, sounds,
all whirling around
in one artistic, messy cloud.
If I don't let it out,
it’ll vanish completely.
